State Farm® Insurance Agent Virginia Walls

"I’m updating my review to reflect my latest run in with State Farm. To be honest, I’m very hurt. I’ve been with State Farm for a very long time. I called State Farm after seeing my roof looked like it may have some issues from previous storms while I was cleaning out my gutters. I filed a claim, as I thought I was supposed to do. They came out and told me they were proud of me for mitigating the damage by contacting them. I’m then told that despite it looking like previous storm damage, they won’t be covering it. Okay, that’s fine. I’ll fix it around income tax time. No big deal. I then get told I need to replace the roof within 5 weeks despite the claim being denied, or my insurance will be dropped. I’m a single parent. I can’t pull 10,000$ out of thin air. Especially in just a few weeks before my son’s 12th birthday. I’m so conflicted with how I’ve been treated in this incident. I’m hurt. It makes me wish I never reached out to them like I thought I was supposed to, in the first place. Because of this, it makes me feel like moving forward if anything on my house becomes damaged or dangerous, I just shouldn’t say anything. “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.” Really? Because I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face.
Although they stated they would “consider reviewing my claim” if I can get someone else out to inspect it, I’m struggling! I’m trying! I’ve been in tears almost every single day."
